I was born in Bristol, Connecticut. I lived in Seattle, Washington and
Los Angeles, California before moving to Germantown, Tennessee when I was eight years old. I have been in this area ever since. After attending Germantown High School, I graduated in December 1997, with honors, from the University of Memphis. I taught at Houston Middle School immediately out of college. I was at HMS for two and a half years before moving to Schilling Farms Middle in August of 2000.
I am married to Ryan Garcia. Ryan is a graduate of Mississippi State University. He was born and raised in Collierville. Ryan is the proud partner/owner of Agriscapes LLC (a local landscape company). They specialize in landscape (design/install), irrigation, and hardscape.
I am proud to say that they were the first place winner for landscape in the 2006 Vesta Homeshow (Showcase of Homes).
We have two beautiful children….Mason (boy) age 8 and Avery (girl) age 5. They both attend Tara Oaks Elementary. We also have a White German Shepherd named Champ.
I enjoy running (when it is over), shopping, football, and basketball. My favorite teams are U of M (especially basketball), Mississippi State, and the Tennessee Titans.
